the ghutra, is taken out of its cultural identity and used as a symbolic page …specifically within this work for its cultural significance. through its similarity it unifies the wearer by a destruction of identity. it clarifies as one ceases to see the object but a true identity devoid of external symbols.
the power of a communication through the numerical order and the overlying sign systems create a dialogue and this dialectic creates an energy. It ceases to be about the object but a mystical sense of spiritual release is achieved within the multiplicity of the floating messages and the linguistic quality of the work.
